Prepare potatoes, chicken breasts, onions, ginger, garlic, and star anise. Cut the chicken and potatoes into pieces and set aside.

Pour sunflower seed oil into the pot and heat for 6 minutes. Add onion, ginger, garlic and star anise and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add potatoes and chicken and stir-fry evenly, then add soy sauce and stir-fry.

Add water to the pot to cover the potatoes and muscles. Do not add too much water. Wait for the water to boil over medium heat to remove the foam in the pot, then reduce to a simmer. When it is 8 minutes cooked, add salt and chicken essence.
