Overview
Have you ever eaten something delicious when you were a child that you felt you would never be able to eat again? Xiaoyu has it, it’s the bowl of lotus root mixed with some salt and coarse rice noodles and then steamed over firewood in a large steamer until it’s soft. The softness here is not so soft that it can’t be picked up with chopsticks, but the texture that melts in the mouth and is suitable for all ages. It is such an ordinary ingredient and such a simple method, but it has become a delicacy in my childhood memories. Nowadays, there is no big steamer or firewood stove. Even the little me who sat in the corner and watched the entire production process has grown up. So let’s use modern appliances to recall our childhood

Wash and peel lotus root

Cut into equal-sized pieces

Sprinkle in salt, pepper, a little chicken juice, light soy sauce and stir evenly

Pour in appropriate amount of dry rice flour and mix well
