Overview
Walnut cake is crispy and very delicious. Because of the addition of walnuts, it has high nutritional value. It is a favorite dessert for the elderly and children. Today is the Dragon Boat Festival, a good day for family reunion dinner, so I took the time to make this snack for my dear parents. The production method is very simple, friends who like it can follow along!

Steps
-
Place the walnut kernels in the middle rack of the oven and bake at 160 degrees for about 10 minutes. When cool, put them into a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Set aside.
-
Prepare the ingredients, weigh and sift the low-gluten flour, baking powder, and baking soda, beat the egg liquid, and weigh the lard and fine sugar.
-
Soften the lard into a liquid state by insulating water, add fine sugar and beat with a whisk until the sugar melts.
-
Add egg liquid and beat evenly.
-
Then add sifted cake flour, baking powder and baking soda.
-
Use a spatula to cut and mix evenly into a dough.
-
Add prepared chopped walnuts.
-
Knead the dough and cover with plastic wrap to rest for a while.
-
Take a small piece of dough, about 25-30 grams, roll it into a ball, flatten it and place it on the baking sheet. Make the dough one by one and place it on the baking sheet at a certain distance.
-
Brush with egg wash and sprinkle a little black sesame seeds on top.
-
Place in the middle rack of the preheated oven and bake at 175 degrees for about 20 minutes.
-
After taking it out of the oven, place it on a baking sheet to cool, then store it in an airtight container after cooling completely. The walnuts are crispy and so delicious!
