Cold shrimp
Overview
Cold shrimp, a snack in Sichuan, is made from rice pulp. Similar to ice powder, it is a refreshing summer dessert. I have always thought that cold shrimp is just cold cake made into granules, shaped like small shrimps. Until one day, I accidentally saw on Taobao that cold shrimp noodles and cold cake noodles were sold as two different products. I was immediately confused. Aren’t cold cake noodles and cold shrimp noodles the same thing? There seems to be no difference in taste between them? I have cold cake mix in my hand, just waiting for the weather to get unbearably hot to do some experiments. That day, the sun was shining brightly, so I rejected the application for ice powder and started making cold shrimps with cold cake powder. The experiment was considered a success, but unfortunately, the hole of the colander was too small, and the cold shrimps squeezed out were too small. The tadpoles with tails were almost like small beads. Although the shape was substandard, it still confirmed my suspicion. The next thing I want to think about is maybe - where can I get a colander with a big hole?
