Pork patties

Pork patties

Overview

After wandering around the market, I fell in love with a restaurant that made meat minced by hand. I thought I had some flour at home, so I bought some and made meatloaf. The first time I made it, I added a little too much salt. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, it tastes great!

Steps

  1. Mix the dough first and let it rest for a while. The dough should be softer. If it is too hard, it will be more troublesome to seal the cake

  2. While the dough is resting, prepare the meat filling. Chop onion and celery into mince, add salt, oil, thirteen spices and dark soy sauce, mix well and set aside.

  3. Cut the dough into small pieces. Roll out into the size of a bun wrapper

  4. Take an appropriate amount of meat filling and place it in the middle of the dough, spread it evenly with a spoon

  5. Make it into the shape of a steamed bun, and seal it in the middle so that the filling is not exposed. Flatten and ready to be fried

  6. Brown on low heat. I did this dry searing without adding oil because I didn’t like my hands to be greasy. Remember to use low heat to prevent the meat filling from burning before it is cooked

  7. Fry until both sides are golden brown, the pancake is bulging with air inside, and the edges of the pancake are completely cooked!
