Ingredients
Steps
-
Get the ingredients ready. I added less sugar, but it tasted great!
-
Put high-gluten flour, low-gluten flour, sugar, and salt into a basin and stir evenly.
-
Add the yeast and mix evenly. Just heat the milk until it is warm. Beat an egg well. You can leave some egg liquid to spread on the bread.
-
Start kneading the dough, it will be sticky at first, don’t worry! Pull the dough hard and knead it out. Use a bread machine if you have one. I kneaded it for 35 minutes and my arms were sore...
-
The test standard for kneading the bread is to see if the membrane can be pulled out, see the last picture... Knead the dough until it is smooth and non-sticky. Finally, beat it hard a few times to make it smoother.
-
Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
-
Prepare 20 grams of butter, which can be heated slightly in the oven to melt faster.
-
Knead the butter into the dough so that the two are in intimate contact! Knead evenly.
-
Let’s start styling! Start by braiding your hair.
-
Then roll it up, this should be the most basic shape.
-
It looks okay~
-
This time I changed it to a different one. I just learned it and added some walnuts roasted in the oven. Crunchy!
-
It’s okay to make it up~
-
This time it’s walnut kernels and blueberry jam, which is a bit ugly…
-
It's pretty good when it's finished.
-
After everything is done, rise the dough again until it is 1.5 times in size, apply egg wash and sprinkle with white sesame seeds. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
-
Adjust the oven to 170 degrees for 25-30 minutes. In the last five minutes, you can increase the temperature for coloring. Let me say something here, after all, ovens of various specifications are very different, so you have to make adjustments according to the oven. I use a small oven, only about 20 liters.
-
^_^, I think it looks pretty~ fragrant and soft~

This is what "can pull out the membrane" means!
