Stir-fried beef with bitter melon
Overview
Days of hot weather and heavy summer heat are not an exaggeration. Traditional Chinese medicine says that you should eat more bitter vegetables in summer. Bitter foods can replenish qi, strengthen the kidneys, strengthen the spleen and remove dampness. Bitter melon clears away heat and detoxifies, and can relieve the heat in the heart. It is relatively light and suitable for summer. However, those with weak spleen and stomach should eat it in moderation. Stir-frying it with meat will not only increase the taste but also reduce damage to the spleen and lungs.
