Steps
-
First make the yellow dough: boil the yeast in a small amount of warm water and set aside. Mix the flour, milk powder and white sugar evenly. Then pour in the pumpkin puree and the boiled yeast water and stir it into a flocculent shape with chopsticks.
-
Knead the fluffy flour into a smooth dough and set aside for fermentation.
-
Next, make the green dough: first pour the yeast into the milk to boil the yeast water and set aside. Then mix the flour, mugwort powder, milk powder and white sugar evenly, then pour the boiled milk yeast water into it and stir it into a flocculent shape with chopsticks.
-
Knead into a smooth green dough and set aside for fermentation.
-
When the dough has doubled in size and you can see a fine honeycomb shape when you pull it apart, you can take it out and knead it to deflate the dough.
-
After the dough is deflated, first knead the yellow dough into a long strip, then roll the green dough into thin sheets, then wrap it around the yellow dough and roll it into a long strip.
-
Cut into small portions of the same size and set aside.
-
Flatten one of them, roll it out thinly, and cut it into four parts with a cutting board.
-
Out of pattern.
-
Use a new comb to press a pattern on the sharp corners of each fan-shaped dough piece, then fold the bottom up to expose the patterned part, and finally stand it up and fold it in half.
-
Make all four, place them side by side, twist the front to make it long, and use a cutting board to cut out the tentacles of the butterfly on the left and right sides.
-
Turn the long strip back to make the body of the butterfly, and use the handle of a spoon to press out the pattern.
-
Place two honey red beans on the front to make the eyes of the butterfly, and the two-color butterfly is completed.
-
Place it in a steamer to rise for 20 minutes, then steam it in a pot with cold water over high heat for 20 minutes, then turn off the heat and simmer for five minutes, then you can open the pot and serve it!
