【Sun Fruit Stewed with Milk and Eggs】--An edible container
Overview
Winter Solstice, also known as Winter Festival and Hedong Festival, is one of the twenty-four Chinese solar terms and one of the eight astronomical solar terms, opposite to the summer solstice. The winter solstice begins when the sun reaches 270° of ecliptic longitude, which is around December 22 of the Gregorian calendar every year. It is said that the winter solstice was the New Year's Day in the Zhou Dynasty in history, and it used to be a very lively day. Today, in the Jiangnan area, there is still a saying that eating the winter solstice dinner will make you one year older, commonly known as adding years to your age. In northern areas, there is a custom of slaughtering sheep and eating dumplings and wontons during the Winter Solstice. In southern areas, there is a custom of eating winter solstice rice dumplings and winter solstice noodles on this day. Various regions also have the custom of worshiping heaven and ancestors on the winter solstice. I originally wanted to share the fresh fish and mutton with everyone, but I didn't have time to take pictures yet. My family ate them all, even the soup I made. They said it was so delicious. The son said that his mother should push it back after taking pictures. Okay, let's do it tomorrow.
