Cheese Bun
Overview
Cheese buns are said to have originated from the Suzhou Garden Bakery, and are the top products of the bakery. As a Suzhou native, I didn’t bother lining up to try it! I have been holding back from trying it, but recently my daughter came home for the holidays, so I decided to make this delicious snack myself. I chose mascarpone cheese for tiramisu instead of cream cheese, which tastes better. Using Teacher Die'er's recipe, the baked bread is very soft. Paired with the sweet mascarpone cheese filling and a thick layer of milk powder, it tastes really delicious. It makes sense that it is so popular in the circle of friends.
