Corn, Lotus Root and Pork Ribs Soup
Overview
What should I do on a weekend when there is no heating due to strong winds and I am too lazy to buy groceries but still want to drink some stomach-warming and nutritious soup? Eating at home doesn’t necessarily have to involve preparing expensive ingredients in a big way. Search the refrigerator for ingredients and stew whatever you have! I ran out of sweet and sour pork ribs last time, so I still have a side of ribs that can be used to make soup. Personally, I don’t like sweet corn. I always feel like it’s undercooked no matter how hard it is cooked. Just use sticky corn. The sticky corn stewed with the ribs is fragrant and glutinous and tastes more like the old corn I ate when I was a kid. Moreover, the fiber content in corn is very high, the taste is sweet, and it has the effect of delaying aging and lowering serum cholesterol. Lotus root exudes a unique fragrance and also contains tannins, which can increase appetite, promote digestion, appetize and strengthen the body, and is beneficial to people with poor appetite and loss of appetite to restore health.
