Wash and peel the lotus root, and cut off a small piece with a knife to use as a cover

Soak the glutinous rice for 12 hours in advance, add sugar and mix well

Stuff the glutinous rice into the lotus root, and finally stuff it tightly with a toothpick

Add brown sugar and red dates to water

Add the stuffed lotus roots, bring to a boil over high heat and turn to medium heat for an hour and a half
