Overview

The scientific name of water spinach is kui (four tones of weng). In Fujian, Guangxi, Guizhou, and Sichuan, it is called water spinach. In Fujian, it is called Tongcai Tongcai and Tongcai. In Jiangsu and Sichuan, it is called Tengtengcai. In Guangdong, it is called Tongcai. Water spinach is a common vegetable in summer and autumn.
