Blackcurrant Nougat
Overview
Pure nougat is not interesting enough. Adding some blackcurrants or dried cranberries can make the nougat fruity and more refreshing! I didn’t do well enough the first time, so I need to practice more recently😁

Everything must be prepared first, so as not to rush around, waste time, or spoil the candy if you can't keep up with the rhythm!
-
Add sugar to water and cook over low heat, then add maltose and continue cooking. The sugar will bubble into large bubbles at first and then gradually become even and small bubbles, and it’s almost done! While the sugar is cooking, put the peanuts in the oven at 150 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. After baking, let them cool down a bit and use a rolling pin to slightly crush them to remove the red film of the peanuts and set aside!
-
Remove the egg whites with an egg white separator and beat with a whisk until foamy. After the sugar is cooked, add the beaten egg whites and stir evenly. Melt the butter in water and add it to the sugar. Continue stirring! Add milk powder and mix until smooth. Finally, add the fried and peeled peanuts and stir evenly.
-
After the above steps are completed, pour out the semi-finished product, spread it out in a container, use appropriate tools to spread it, press it flat and let it cool!
-
When the sugar has not completely hardened, cut the sugar neatly with a knife and let it cool! At this point, you can put it in the refrigerator for a quick freeze to speed up the solidification of the nougat and make it crispier!
