Barley and red bean porridge
Overview
It is said that this porridge is the best for removing dampness. It is said that many changes can come from it. Barley is cold and cool, clears away heat and removes dampness, while red beans nourish blood and remove dampness. When these two things are boiled out, they are neither sticky nor thick. It is said that only this light and non-sticky texture can achieve the effect of clearing away heat and removing dampness. However, the barley cooked in the electric stew pot is quite soft and glutinous, melting in the mouth, and the soup also becomes a little sticky, as if it has been lightly coated with a little thin gravy.
