Wuzhi Maotao Pork Ribs Soup
Overview
Five-finger peach [alias]: five-fingered fig, five-fingered milk, five-fingered fragrant, five-fingered milk, Astragalus membranaceus [Guangdong], three-clawed dragon, five-clawed dragon, five-clawed peach, and mountain dog. The five-fingered peach is a plant in the Moraceae family, not a peach. It is widely distributed in the mountains, mainly in northern Guangdong. It grows naturally in deep mountain valleys. It is named because its leaves look like five-fingered leaves, and the leaves have fine hairs. When the fruit is ripe, it looks like a peach. Five-finger peach has the aroma of coconut. Adding five-finger peach into the soup not only has a unique flavor, but also the meat will not be cooked too old. It also has the effects of strengthening the spleen and reducing dampness, promoting qi and reducing phlegm, relaxing muscles and activating collaterals. Used for tuberculosis cough, chronic bronchitis, rheumatoid arthritis, waist and leg pain, spleen deficiency and edema, night sweats after illness, and leucorrhea. Five-finger peach is suitable for soup with chicken and pork bones.
