Chop the garlic.

Wash the chicken wings and drain the water, add minced garlic, a little cornstarch and a spoonful of soy sauce, stir well.

Wrap in plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator. I marinate it in the morning and cook it in the evening. You can also marinate overnight.

Take the chicken wings out of the refrigerator and prepare a can of beer.

Heat oil in the pot. Put the marinated chicken wings including marinade into the pan and fry.

Add appropriate amount of light soy sauce and dark soy sauce.

Add 2 slices of ginger and 1 star anise. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low heat, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
