Cranberry Steamed Buns
Overview
I like making steamed buns more and more. Today I try to make a super simple and delicious steamed bun. Those who don’t like to knead the dough and wake it up can do it. The finished product is sweet and sour, soft and delicious, making it a perfect choice for afternoon tea.

Steps
-
Prepare all ingredients
-
Put the flour in a plastic bag, tie it tightly, put it into a steamer and steam it over water. After the water boils, steam it for 30 minutes
-
After the flour is steamed, remove the fresh-keeping bag, stir with chopsticks, let cool and set aside
-
Chop cranberries and set aside
-
Pour the sugar into the eggs and mix well
-
Stir until the sugar melts and the egg liquid foams, and it’s ready
-
Sift the cooled flour into the egg mixture
-
Mix the flour and egg mixture evenly and set aside
-
I prepared a few teacups, smeared them with corn oil, and sprinkled diced cranberries on the bottom
-
Prepare a few small plates, smear them with corn oil, and sprinkle a layer of diced cranberries on the bottom of the plates
-
Pour the mixed batter into each cup respectively. Pour the batter into half of the height of the cup. Cover it with gauze to prevent water from dripping on it during steaming
-
Similarly, pour the batter into the dish and place it at half the height of the dish, because it will increase in height after steaming.
-
Cover it with gauze, turn on high heat, and after the water boils, steam for 40 minutes for the cup and 20 minutes for the saucer.
-
It’s steamed and ready to go
-
It’s better to use a saucer next time. The steaming time is short, and the cup needs to be steamed for 40 minutes. The time is too long, and it is difficult to take off the cup after it cools down. The mouth is too small, and the saucer is easy to take off
