Roses for China
Overview
The little guy is a flag fan! When I was less than two years old, I got to know the national flags of 180 countries (generous American fans, please forgive me for praising my son in such a high-profile way [clasp fist]). My favorite is China! So today I took advantage of his lunch break to make national flag steamed buns and watched him look so happy together. It felt so sweet ^_^

Steam the sweet potato slices in the microwave

Put the yeast in warm water and let it sit for five minutes

Add yeast water, white sugar and condensed milk to the flour and make a white dough; add yeast water to the sweet potato flour and make a yellow dough; add yeast water to the flour and strawberry jam and make a red dough

Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm microwave to rise for an hour and a half

Take out the red dough and roll it into thin slices in a glass bottle

Use scissors to cut out a small rectangle from the red dough, cut out a five-pointed star from the yellow dough and pinch a few small dots to make four stars. The national flag steamed buns become

Roll out another piece of red dough and use a glass cup to press it into a round mold

Take six pieces and stack them together

Use chopsticks to vigorously make a mark in the middle of the dough sheet

Dip a spoon into some water and touch the lowest edge

Roll up

Tighten the edges

Use a knife to cut it in the middle

Two red roses are ready

Arrange the petals and put them into the steaming tray

Use the same method to make yellow roses from the yellow dough, add a few flower buns and let them rise for 20 minutes

Steam for ten minutes, remember to open the lid after five minutes

Make some butterfly steamed buns with the other dough, hehe~
