Pork ribs and chicken legs thawed.

Cut into pieces and blanch in cold water.

Boil water to wash away the scum.

Chop onion and ginger.

Heat the pan with cold oil, add peppercorns and star anise to the hot oil.

Add chicken and pork ribs and stir-fry.

Add salt while stirring.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium heat and simmer.

Peel, wash and cut the yam.
