Overview

Frozen chicken wings always have a bit of a fishy smell, and Coke alone can't suppress it. I tried adding star anise and a few pieces of cinnamon, and the effect was good. It's so fragrant.

  1. Clean the chicken wings and make two cuts on the back for easier flavoring and cooking;

  2. Prepare 1 star anise and about 4 pieces of cinnamon bark, and open several star anise petals;

  3. Fry half of the chicken wings until golden brown, set aside;

  4. Put oil in the pot, add star anise and cinnamon, and sauté over medium-low heat until fragrant;

  5. Add 8 pieces of ginger and continue to sauté until fragrant;

  6. Add chicken wings and 1 can of Coke, turn on high to medium heat;

  7. Cook until the sauce thickens. Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of refined salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch water. Stir evenly and take it out of the pan before serving.
