Caterpillar Bread
Overview
Tomorrow my brother and sister are going on a self-driving trip. We think it will take 4 or 5 hours to travel, so we have to prepare some snacks, so even if it is the first day of the New Year, we will not be idle! I made some red bean paste bread, and specially made caterpillar bread to fool the children!

Ingredients
Steps
-
For the post-oiling method, first add milk, light cream, egg liquid, sugar, and salt
-
Then add flour and yeast
-
Start the dough kneading process, add small cubes of butter after forming a dough
-
Knead the dough to the expansion stage where the film can be pulled out, and place it in the bread machine for the first fermentation. Ferment until doubled in size
-
Press out the air from the fermented dough with your hands (or knead it a few times until the air in the dough is released)
-
Divide the dough into 8 parts, each about 100g, roll into a round shape, and let rest at room temperature for 15 minutes
-
Take a piece of dough and roll it into a thin sheet
-
Add rose sauce and a little light cream to the bean paste filling and stir evenly. You can also use bean paste filling directly
-
My filling is very thin, so I use a brush to smooth it out
-
Roll it up slowly
-
Leave 2-3CM at the end and cut into small strips with a knife
-
Stretch the cut strips and place them on the dough
-
You can use red beans to make caterpillar eyes and put them in the oven for secondary fermentation at low temperature for about 1 hour
-
After fermentation, brush with a layer of egg wash
-
Place in the preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes
