Bean Paste Pinwheel Buns

Bean Paste Pinwheel Buns

Overview

I made red bean paste two days ago and needed a place to go, so I started thinking about making red bean paste buns, but I wanted to make some tricks, so I started fiddling with it. In fact, it wasn't too difficult. I just used the ordinary bread recipe to make the dough and wrap it with red bean paste. It was that easy.

  2. Put 200 grams of all-purpose flour into a mixing bowl, pour in all the mixed water in the bowl in step 1, and mix at speed 2 for about 10 minutes. After forming a dough, add 45 grams of unsalted butter (three large bars of butter), and mix at speed 2 for about 20 minutes.

  3. Apply some oil with your fingers, pull a small piece of dough and stretch it into a film. It doesn't need to be too thin, just enough to form a film.

  8. Roll the small dough into a round piece, about 10 cm in diameter, put it into the palm of your hand, put the bean paste filling in the middle, roll the edges upward like a bun, wrap it well, and pinch the opening tightly.

  9. Turn the seam downward and roll it a few times to make the seam smooth and round.

  10. Use the palm of your hand to flatten the stuffed ball to about 1 cm thick; 11, 12, 13.

  11. Use a small cup or bowl to make an indentation in the middle to have a reference when cutting into halves. If the eye is done well, you don’t need to make an indentation.

  16. You don’t need to twist the cut dough, brush the surface with egg wash, and sprinkle black sesame seeds in the middle. It’s also very nice. You can also put it in a warm environment to rest for 30 minutes.
