Carved yam
Overview
Children love to eat sweets. I have tried several attempts to draw the thread but failed. After summing up my experience, I finally succeeded in making carrot yam this time. There are two main points to grasp. First, the amount of boiled sugar should be enough. Every time I feel that it is enough, it always ends up being less. The second is to control the temperature of boiling the sugar. Let’s take a look at my carrot yam.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Peel and wash yam
-
Cut into hob pieces. Not too big.
-
Heat oil in a wok. When the oil is 5 minutes hot, it will be as thick as yam cubes. When frying, keep turning. Fry the yam pieces until the skin is slightly wrinkled and the color becomes darker. It takes about 8 minutes on medium heat.
-
Remove and set aside.
-
Clean the wok. I used water to boil the sugar. In a small bowl of water, add 5 tablespoons of sugar.
-
Keep sliding the spatula until the sugar slowly melts and finally becomes a thick light brown syrup
-
Turn off the heat. Pour in the fried yam cubes, stir-fry quickly and serve.
