Overview

Zaohua cake is a steamed bun made of white flour, but it is different from the usual ones. It is a steamed bun with many red dates embedded in it. When it is done, it looks as beautiful as a flower. It is usually steamed during the Chinese New Year.

  1. The dough making process is the same as usual for steamed steamed buns, just a little harder.

  2. Boil the red dates in boiling water. Remove and drain.
