Osmanthus glutinous rice and lotus root
Overview
The osmanthus in August is fragrant and the lotus root is tender. The sugar osmanthus made last year is still available. I grew up eating lotus root, but I didn’t know there was such a delicacy. Do you guys like it too?

Choose lotus roots with lotus joints. Wash and peel.

Cut off the other end of the lotus root.

Wash the glutinous rice.

Stuff in the glutinous rice and push it with chopsticks. But it should not be too tight.

Cover the cut lotus root joints and tie them with toothpicks.

Put it into the pot, add rock sugar and 30 grams of sugar-osmanthus.

Press for about 30 minutes. Remove the slices, add sugar-osmanthus and mix with warm water or honey.

Place on top and sprinkle with sugar osmanthus.
