Remove the red coating from the peanuts and chop slightly; dissolve the baking soda in water and set aside.

Pour sugar, maltose, and soda water into the pot in sequence, bring to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat to simmer.

Boil until it reaches 160 degrees and it will turn into a golden syrup.

Pour the peanuts into the pot and stir quickly to combine.

Pour into a lard-greased mold and quickly flatten and compact.

After flattening, cut into pieces and serve after cooling.
