At the end of the year, my sister from Chongming, my hometown, sent me their local Chongming cake. Chongming cake is one of the traditional pastries and specialty snacks in Chongming area of Shanghai. There are two kinds of sponge cake and hard cake. The ingredients are carefully selected, the ratio is reasonable, the sweetness is moderate, the pulp is appropriate, the cooking is scientific, the flavor is fragrant and the mouth is loose, glutinous but not sticky, and it is sold well both inside and outside the island. I asked my sister how to eat this Chongming cake. She said that it is very authentic to eat it with rice wine and rice. Adding an egg into it is their special snack for entertaining guests there. So I followed suit and took one, and it tasted really great.

Prepare all ingredients.
