Steps
-
Put all the bread ingredients except butter and pumpkin puree into a bowl and knead into dough. (Peel the pumpkin, cut it into small pieces and steam it in a steamer, then put it into a food processor to make pumpkin puree and let it cool.)
-
Pull out the thicker film and add butter.
-
Spread out a thin film.
-
Knead the dough and cover with plastic wrap. Let it ferment at room temperature for about two hours until it doubles in size.
-
Next, mix all the ingredients for Okpi, knead it into a dough, cover it with plastic wrap and leave it to ferment at room temperature for about two hours.
-
Stick flour with your fingers and poke a hole. If it doesn't shrink or collapse, the fermentation is complete.
-
First divide the pumpkin dough into a 2g and a 6g small dough. From the remaining dough, you can knead a few small pieces of dough to make chickens and roll them into round balls. Okopi first portions out about 40g, and the remaining portions are divided into 7 portions on average.
-
Take a piece of Okepi dough, roll it into a disc shape, and use a large piping nozzle to press out a round shape.
-
Wrap pumpkin dough. Prepare and place in baking pan.
-
Add a little bit of red yeast powder to 2g of pumpkin dough and knead evenly.
-
Divide the remaining 60g of okpi into 12 portions, shape into triangles, and place on both sides. These are hen's wings. Roll 2g of red pumpkin dough into a round shape and use a scraper to cut a mark in the middle to make the mouth of the little yellow chicken. Brush some water and glue it together. Divide 6g pumpkin dough into 6 parts, roll it into a round shape and use a scraper to cut a mark in the middle to make a white mouth. Brush with some water and stick it together.
-
After shaping the dough, leave it on the baking sheet until it doubles in size. (No need to put it in the oven for the second time)
-
Place in the oven preheated to 150 degrees and bake for 20 minutes, paying attention to the tin foil on the top.
-
After taking it out of the oven and letting it cool, draw expressions on the chicken. Fill a piping bag with melted black and pink chocolate, cut a small opening and draw an expression. Done!
