Honey Chicken

Wash and blanch the chicken.

Add the prepared peppercorns, star anise, cinnamon, green onions, ginger, and salt (add more for better flavor) into the pot. Add 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, add some water, and cook for 20-30 minutes.

Take it out of the pot and let it dry. Add two tablespoons of honey to the hot oil in the pot until it becomes thick and red in color. Take it out of the pot and wait for the chicken to dry and brush it with honey juice, not sparing every part.

Pour more oil into the pot and heat until it is 50% hot. Add the chicken. Use a spoon to pour the hot oil over the chicken. Turn the chicken over frequently until the skin is red.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
