Wontons

Wontons

Overview

When I got off work in the afternoon, the girl called me and told me that she wanted to eat wontons tomorrow morning. Well, I hurried to the market and bought wonton wrappers. I always have lean meat, mushrooms, carrots, seaweed, and dried shrimps at home. After dinner in the evening, I washed the dishes and started making wonton fillings and buns.

Steps

  1. How to clean mushrooms and carrots, how to mince them, I didn’t take any pictures. It's too late, I have to go to bed early. As shown in the picture, these are the shiitake mushrooms and carrots I chopped into pieces. I squeezed out the water and put them in a bowl.

  2. Put the minced meat into a bowl, sprinkle with a little salt, 1 tablespoon light soy sauce, white pepper, and 1 drop of oil.

  3. Mix evenly with your hands, remember to wash your hands.

    Wontons step 3
  4. Prepare a small bowl of water and you're good to go.

  5. Pick a piece of meat and put it in the middle of the wonton wrapper, and apply some water on both ends of the diagonal line. I applied it because my skin was a bit dry. Fresh skin does not need to be painted.

  6. Fold in half and glue the corners tightly

  7. Fold the corners on both sides inwards along your fingers

  8. And glue the two corners completely overlapping

  9. Finished product. This way the filling doesn’t fall apart and the skin doesn’t break, and it looks good!

  10. Put a pot under boiling water and put a few drops of oil in the pot to prevent sticking. Cook until the skin is transparent and ready to serve.

  11. Put the shrimps, wontons and wonton soup into the bowl, and sprinkle with a little seaweed. That's it. My family doesn’t like to eat onions, so it would definitely look good if I didn’t add some chopped green onions.
