Clam and Luffa Soup
Overview
Clams are one of the most affordable shell seafoods. Clams are cool in nature and have the functions of nourishing yin and moisturizing, diuresis and eliminating edema. Luffa is also cooling in nature, and it has the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying and resolving phlegm. The two work together to make the soup, which is light and delicious, especially suitable for drinking in this season. It can clear away heat, dryness, and relieve excessive thirst.

After buying the clams, soak them in sand and then boil water in a 24cm Shanni soup pot. Pour the soaked clams in and blanch them until they open and take them out

Peel and clean the loofah, then cut into hob pieces

Add oil to the soup pot and heat it up

Pour in the cut loofah and stir-fry until the edges of the loofah become soft

After the water boils, pour in the blanched clams. Pour in two large bowls of water and bring to a boil

Add salt and pepper to taste and turn off the heat and serve
