Put the ribs in a pot of cold water, bring to a boil and cook for another two to three minutes. Remove the ribs and run them under cold water to drain them and set aside.

Chop the corn into small pieces, cut the green onion into sections, and slice the ginger.

Put the ribs into a soup pot, add enough water, add the green onions and ginger slices into the pot, cover the pot and bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer.

After simmering for half an hour, open the pot, remove the green onions and ginger slices and discard them. Put the corn in the pot and continue to simmer for about half an hour.

When the ribs are tender, add appropriate amount of salt and chicken essence.

Pour into a soup bowl and sprinkle with coriander segments.
