【Korean National Soup】Doenjang Soup
Overview
Koreans love to drink soup. Soup is an important part of Korean diet. It is indispensable when dining. Doenjang soup is an indispensable traditional dish on the daily table for everyone from the president to ordinary people. The preparation of doenjang soup is very simple. The most important thing is to use the special Korean sauce for making miso soup. I learned this method from a Korean aunt. It is really delicious. Doenjang soup is also one of my favorite soups

Cut the pork belly into thin slices, blanch it in hot water for 2 minutes and take it out

Cut the potatoes into thick slices, cut the tofu into cubes, cut the melon into thick slices, cut the pepper into rings, slice the ham sausage, cut the coriander into sections, simply separate the enoki mushrooms, and cut the Thai pepper into circles with scissors

Add water to the pot, add onions, ginger slices and garlic, turn up the heat

After the water boils, add the meat slices, cover the pot and cook over medium high heat for 10 minutes

Add the potato slices and continue cooking for 10 minutes

Add tofu

Pour the doenjang into a small bowl and add two ladles of soup from the pot to dilute the doenjang

Pour the diluted sauce into the pot and continue cooking for 10 minutes

Add enoki mushrooms

Add horned melon and cook for 3 minutes

Add chili and ham sausage and cook for half a minute

Add coriander and turn off the heat
