Preserved egg mixed with tofu
Overview
Teach your son how to cook simple dishes. Their school dormitory only had a microwave and a refrigerator, so I taught him a few simple microwave dishes at home while classes were suspended.

Silky tofu.

Slice and place on a plate.

Peel the preserved eggs and cut into small pieces.

Place the preserved eggs on top of the tofu.

Place in the microwave on high heat for 1.5 minutes.

Chop the garlic into minced garlic and mince the shallot.

Heat oil in a small pot and saute minced garlic until fragrant. (My family is not used to eating raw garlic or raw onions. The garlic is more fragrant when it is fried.)

Add the soy sauce paste, sugar and tofu water and bring to a boil.

Turn off the heat, add green onions and mix well.

Pour it over the preserved egg tofu.
