Walnut cake is crispy, sweet and delicious. It is an authentic Chinese dessert. I love eating walnut cake. It is economical and affordable to make it yourself, which is a few blocks away from supermarkets.

100g butter softened at room temperature.

Prepare 40 grams of raw walnut kernels.

Mix all the powdered white sugar, add it to the butter, and knead it with your hands until it resembles bread crumbs.

Beat an egg into egg liquid, add half of the egg liquid, and knead with your hands to form a smooth dough. (Reserve half of the egg liquid and rinse the cookie dough)

Cover tightly and let rest for 15 minutes.

Roll into round shape and flatten.

Place in a baking pan and brush with egg wash on the surface.

Place a walnut in the middle of each biscuit and press it slightly. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Place the walnut biscuit embryos into the middle shelf of the oven and bake at 170 degrees for 20 minutes.
