Steps
-
Knead the white dough ingredients into a smooth dough;
-
Leave to ferment until about 2 times the size; (On a hot day, the fermentation speed is too fast. So, be careful not to over ferment)
-
For the black dough part, knead it into a smooth dough and put it in a bowl for later use;
-
Divide the fermented white dough into small doughs of even size;
-
Roll it into a round shape with your hands; (Pinch both sides of the dough with both hands, turn it outwards and toward the bottom, repeat two or three times, the surface of the dough will be smooth)
-
Take 1/3 of the black dough and roll it into a long and thin strip, pull out the panda’s ears and stick them on both sides of the white dough;
-
Sprinkle some dry flour on the table, roll out the remaining black dough into a sheet, and then use a tool with large and small round holes to print out the panda's eyes
-
Pull it slightly into an oval shape, and then stick it on the white dough. You can add some water to increase the viscosity; the panda steamed bun embryo is completed!
-
Fill the steamer with water first, and grease the steaming rack with oil to prevent sticking; place the panda steamed bun embryos, making sure there is a gap between each one; before steaming, perform a second fermentation for about 30 minutes;
-
Then turn on the heat and steam for 15 minutes; after turning off the heat, don't open the lid in a hurry, steam for 3 minutes, and you're done...
