Colorful Bear Bread with Coconut Custard Filling
Overview
When making snail bread, I made custard filling. I haven’t had custard filling in a long time, and the children loved it. Therefore, I still used custard filling when making this bread. But I used less cornstarch and replaced it with shredded coconut. It becomes coconut custard filling. This small gesture was greatly appreciated by my family members, who all love to eat coconut paste. They really liked this filling. The rich custard flavor is combined with the coconut flavor, and it is not greasy. It looks like I need to do more in the future. I put some thought into the shape of the baked bread. Brush the surface with egg yolk liquid and decorate it with Oreos to make a cute bear face pattern. I thought it was very funny. When the child was eating, he said naughtily: Should I eat the eyes or the mouth first? I’m sorry, little bear, let’s eat your ears first. O(∩_∩)O Haha~

Ingredients
Steps
-
Beat the corn oil, sugar, egg liquid, and milk until evenly combined, then sift in the flour and cornstarch.
-
Beat again. Heat over water, stirring while heating.
-
When you see the custard is half solid, add the grated coconut.
-
Heat into blocks. Let cool before use.
-
Put the bread ingredients into the bread bucket, start the bread machine's dough rising process, and it will be ready after 90 minutes.
-
Take out the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
-
Divide the dough into 6 large pieces and 12 small pieces, a total of 18 pieces of dough. You don’t have to be too strict about the size ratio, you can adjust it. The large dough I made is about 40g, and the small dough is about 15g.
-
Flatten or roll out the large dough directly with your hands, and put in the prepared custard filling. If you like more, put more, otherwise, put less as you like.
-
Wrap it well and put it away with the seam facing down.
-
Small dough, press into drop shape.
-
Combine the large dough with stuffing and the small drop-shaped dough to make a bear face pattern
-
Once everything is done, put it on the baking sheet and let it rise a second time.
-
The facial hair is good, but it’s a bit crowded if I do 6. It’s better to do 4, it will be more beautiful.
-
Remove the cream filling from the center of the Oreo cookies and roll them into pieces.
-
Coat the risen dough with egg yolk liquid, use Oreo cookies to make a bear face, and press lightly.
-
Preheat the oven in advance, place the baking pan on the middle layer, 170 degrees, and heat up and down for 20 minutes. Remember to observe the color and cover with tin foil.
