Stir-fried five-spice tofu skin with leeks
Overview
I've been busy with some things recently, so I didn't upload the recipe in time. I'm sorry. Today I plan to make stir-fried five-spice tofu skin with leeks. There were not many leeks when I first came abroad, so sometimes I miss the taste after not eating them for a long time. So I saw relatively fresh leeks for sale in a Chinese supermarket, bundled into small handfuls, so I picked a handful and planned to stir-fry them with the tofu skin. After I finished cooking, I found that I bought less leeks, so I will buy more to stir-fry them together next time.

Steps

First, take out the tofu skin from the packaging bag, and then cut it into strips. Because it is vacuum packed, the tofu skin is still stuck together after cutting, so you have to separate the tofu skin with your hands. The previous photo did not take it, so the first picture is the separated tofu skin
-
Wash the leeks and drain the water
-
Then cut the leeks, you can cut them slightly longer, because the leeks shrink when fried, and the number will be very small
-
Boil water in the pot. After the water boils, put the tofu skin in and blanch it for about 2 minutes. Because the tofu skin here is a bit hard, I am used to blanch it before frying
-
Remove the blanched tofu skin and set aside. Wash the pot and prepare to stir-fry leeks
-
Put some oil in the pot, maybe more, so that the leeks fully absorb the oil and it will look better. Because the leeks are easy to cook, so when you see the leeks begin to soften, put the tofu skin in and stir-fry for about a minute. Add a little salt, because the tofu skin itself has a flavor, so just put a little salt. Add a little cornstarch to thicken it, so that the tofu skin will not feel dry when you eat it.

It’s ready. Because I bought a little less leeks, the finished product doesn’t look so appetizing. I’m sorry. Remember to buy more leeks next time. If someone doesn’t like leeks, you can also use some other side dishes, such as green peppers, red peppers, celery, carrots or yellow bell peppers, which can be paired together.
