Mochi buns
Overview
I have been interested in mochi snacks for a long time. I like their bouncy texture, just like the gummy candies I ate when I was a child. I have bought it many times in bakeries outside, but there are not many that are really delicious and make me think about it again. Sometimes I wonder, why do people have to be satisfied with what others have preset, instead of creating and changing it themselves? You will definitely not go astray if you follow in the footsteps of others, but it also lacks a lot of fun in exploring. Even if you get lost, you will see different scenery. So make what you want to eat and buy what you like. I made a slight change to the original recipe for this mochi bun. If you don’t have black sesame seeds, use white sesame seeds. If you don’t have chocolate powder, use Ovaltine instead. If you like it sweet, add an appropriate amount of white sugar. The finished product looks good, and the taste is just what I want. Life is about tossing, so I will keep on tossing!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Have materials ready.
-
Place the ingredients except butter and Ovaltine into a mixing bowl.
-
After stirring until large particles form, add butter and continue stirring until not too sticky.
-
Divide the mixed dough into two halves, add Ovaltine to half and mix evenly. If you don’t have Ovaltine, you can use chocolate powder or green tea powder instead.
-
Two doughs are mixed.
-
Divide each dough into eight portions, roll them into balls and place them on the baking sheet. Leave space between the dough to prevent the dough from swelling and sticking together during baking, affecting the appearance of the finished product.
-
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees, place the baking sheet in the middle of the oven, turn the heat up and down, and bake at 170 degrees for 35 minutes.
