Overview

I eat an egg for breakfast every day. I always get tired of eating it every day, and the local eggs have a fishy smell, so I will cook a pot of tea eggs from time to time. Now in this climate, I can heat them up in the morning and eat them. It is very convenient.

  1. Wash the eggs and cook them on the egg cooker.

  2. Immediately soak the boiled eggs in cold water for a while to cool down.

  3. Crack the hard-boiled eggs one by one.

  4. Take a tea bag, add black tea leaves, cinnamon bark and aniseed, and seal it.

  5. Put the cracked eggs and tea bags into the cooking pot, add water to cover the eggs by 1-2 cm, add salt and dark soy sauce, and turn on the heat.

  6. After the high heat comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for 30 minutes, turning the eggs several times in the middle to make the eggs color and taste evenly.

  7. The hard-boiled eggs continue to soak in the pot for several hours to make them taste better. 〈I usually let it soak overnight)
