Hand-held sushi
Overview
Temari Sushi (Japanese: Temari Sushi, Temari Sushi) is a traditional Japanese Doll's Day dish. The round shape is named after the temari ball, a traditional toy for Japanese girls, which means perfection. Also called ball sushi or round sushi.

Steps
-
You can prepare the ingredients according to your own taste. I chose a few brightly colored ingredients, shred purple cabbage, slice okra, and slice cherry radish.
-
Fry a piece of egg skin and use it to wrap the rice balls. Beat the eggs and add a spoonful of water starch to increase the toughness of the egg skin. Apply a thin layer of oil to a pan and fry it over low heat to form a thin egg skin.
-
Add two tablespoons of sushi vinegar to the cooked rice. Sushi vinegar is for seasoning, so you don’t have to add it if you don’t have it.
-
Spread plastic wrap on the cutting board and place the vegetables first.
-
Then put some water on your hands, grab some rice, shape it into small rice balls and put them on the vegetables (wet your hands with water to prevent the rice from sticking to your hands)
-
Lift up the four corners of the plastic wrap to wrap the rice ball
-
Shape the rice balls through plastic wrap
-
Wrap all the rice balls according to this method and let it rest for a while to finalize. When wrapping the rice balls in egg skin, be gentle to avoid poking the egg skin and tie it with green onion leaves or leek leaves. I used a mold to press the ham slices and carrots into flowers, and used a spatula to scrape two slices of cucumber vertically and wrap them around the rice balls.

After setting, remove the plastic wrap and place on plate

Paired with miso soup and fried fish, a proper Japanese breakfast😋
