Braised pork with tofu
Overview
This braised pork is a home-cooked dish in our family. I like to eat the tofu knots in it. The tofu knots absorb the aroma of the meat, which is quite delicious and the meat becomes not greasy. I remember the first time I went to Xiaonanguo to eat. They said they must order Xiaonanguo’s signature dish braised pork every time. It is said to be quite delicious. After it was served, I silently sighed in my heart, alas, this is a bit worse than what our chef makes, haha.

Wash the braised pork

Blanch the meat in boiling water and cut into small pieces.

Chop onion, ginger and garlic

Put the onion, ginger and garlic into the pot, pour in oil and saute until fragrant.

Add braised pork, pour in dark soy cooking wine, add salt

Stir-fry for a while, add half a pot of water, and simmer over high and low heat for thirty or forty minutes.

Wash the tofu skin

Cut the tofu skin into four strips.

The tofu skin is tied into knots.

Wash the potatoes.

Peel and cut potatoes into cubes.

Add the tofu skin and potatoes and cook for more than 20 minutes until the juice is reduced.
