Red dates and corn cake
Overview
I saw an expert making steamed cakes in a microwave oven. This is much faster than using a steamer. I would like to give it a try at home during the holidays!

Put corn flour into a basin

Add flour and brown sugar

Dissolve the yeast with warm water

Add yeast water and appropriate amount of warm water to the flour and stir into a thick batter

Prepare a microwave bowl and brush it with cooking oil

Pour the evenly mixed batter into the bowl

Wash the red dates in advance and cut them into small pieces and place them on the batter

Let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size. I fermented it in the oven at low temperature for 40 minutes

After fermentation is completed, heat it in the microwave for 3 minutes

After taking it out, try it with a toothpick to see if there is any powder stuck to it. If not, it means it is cooked. If there is still moisture on the surface, put it in the microwave again for 1.5 minutes, this time without a lid. You must decide the heating time according to your own situation!
