Ingredients
Steps
-
Clean the oranges and cut the rind into thin strips.
-
Cut into crumbs.
-
Squeeze the juice from the oranges. (I used two oranges.)
-
Put the flour, caster sugar, salt, eggs, orange juice and yeast powder into the bread machine and mix for 20 minutes, then add butter and orange zest.
-
After stirring for another 20 minutes, take out the dough and put it into a container, and let it ferment at room temperature until it doubles in size.
-
Roll the dough into a round shape, cover with plastic wrap and let rest for about 15 minutes.
-
Roll the dough into a rectangle about 28cm long and 22cm wide.
-
After turning it over, spread evenly candied orange peel dices and flatten gently with your hands.
-
Roll into a round shape. When rolling, try to make it as tight as possible so that the dough will not loosen after cutting.
-
Cut the cylindrical dough into 8 equal parts, put the cut side up into the paper mold and cover with plastic wrap for secondary fermentation.
-
Brush the surface of the fermented dough evenly with egg wash, and sprinkle with almond flakes or almond kernels.
-
Place in the preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for about 18 minutes.
