White Dream Gingerbread House
Overview
Although it's a little late now and it's already past Christmas, I still couldn't help but make a gingerbread house. It's pure white and a bit dreamy. . . Steps
-
Dissolve brown sugar in hot water, filter out the insoluble residue and set aside
-
Melt butter into liquid state
-
Add brown sugar water
-
Mix well
-
Add powdered sugar and mix well
-
Then add the egg liquid and mix well
-
Then add honey
-
Mix well
-
Sift in the mixture of cake flour, cinnamon powder and turmeric powder
-
Mix well and knead it into a smooth dough, bag it and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour
-
Take a portion of the chilled dough and roll it into a sheet about 3mm thick
-
Press out the desired shape on the surface
-
Remove excess dough
-
Then use a fork to prick holes in the surface of the remaining dough
-
Then move the entire piece of oil paper and the dough into the baking pan
-
Brush a layer of egg wash on the surface of the dough, let it sit for 20 minutes and then brush another layer
-
Then put the baking sheet into the middle rack of the preheated oven, 180 degrees
-
After about 12 minutes, take out the baking pan and put an appropriate amount of crushed sugar cubes into the round holes on the dough
-
Put it in the oven and continue baking for about 3 minutes (if you don’t need to add sugar cubes, just keep heating it for about 15 minutes)
-
Bake all the parts needed to make the house in turn, let them cool and set aside
-
Make icing: beat the egg whites until they are thick and add powdered sugar
-
Continue to beat until the desired thickness is reached; if you need it to be thinner, you can add an appropriate amount of lemon juice to adjust; if you want it to be thicker, add some powdered sugar and beat well
-
First draw some decorative patterns on the wall parts and fix them to the base after the frosting has set
-
After the four walls are firmly fixed, fix the roof as well, and then decorate with the remaining icing
