Cantonese style dim sum-wife cake
Overview
Recently, I suddenly became interested in all kinds of snacks. I collected various recipes and planned to try them all. This was the first time I made this wife cake. Although there was a slight hiccup in the middle. I don’t know whether it was a problem with the scale or the wrong amount of the original recipe. I originally wanted to make glutinous rice filling, but as soon as the powder was poured into the water, it immediately went wrong. It turned into a thin paste and could not be formed at all. Fortunately, I still had a large piece of winter melon at home, so I simply grated it into shreds and boiled it in a pot. Then I boiled the thin glutinous rice paste and winter melon puree together to make the glutinous rice and winter melon filling. After all this hard work, I was quite satisfied with the finished product. The guy at home even joked that I bought it while he was not at home to trick him, haha.
