  1. Pour boiling water into the cornmeal and stir evenly.

  4. Add appropriate amount of warm water and stir until fluffy.

  8. Divide into even portions.

  9. Arrange into steamed buns and rise for the second time.

  10. Pour cold water into the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat and cook for 15 minutes. If the steamed buns are large, cook for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
