Cake version of Taiyaki
Overview
Taiyaki is a Japanese confectionery originating from Tokyo, made from flour, sugar, milk and baking soda, and shaped like a sea bream! I got a new Taiyaki mold, I’ll try it on the weekend! After reading the recipes from netizens, they all use baking powder to achieve a fluffy effect. Unfortunately, I ran out of it at home, so I decided to use whipped egg whites to make cakes. The finished product turned out great! The Taiyaki mold is also very easy to use. It can be easily removed from the mold by brushing it with oil beforehand!
