Laba porridge
Overview
Today is the Laba Festival, a traditional festival in my country. The traditional custom of the Laba Festival is to drink Laba porridge and cook a steaming pot of Laba porridge. The whole family sits around and enjoys the porridge. The ingredients of Laba porridge are determined by personal taste. Generally, they include rice, peanuts, mung beans, red beans, lotus seeds, etc. There are also lentils, red dates, longan, yam, lily, wolfberry, barley, millet, other beans, etc. that you can choose from. This porridge can be made into a dessert by adding sugar or salt. I grabbed a handful of whatever I had at home today, and it’s full of nutrients!
